2026 Tunisia World Cup roster: Complete 26-man team

May 15, 2026, 1:41 p.m. ET

Tunisia manager Sabri Lamouchi has announced his World Cup squad, with the Eagles of Carthage hoping this is the team that will be able to get out of the group stage for the first time.

Midfielder Ellyes Skhiri captains the team and comes in as the most experienced Tunisian in international soccer by far, but is joined by fellow regulars Ali Abdi, the Nice defender, and Norwich City midfielder Anis Ben Slimane.

There are some relatively new names on the list as well. Canada-born teenager Rayan Elloumi was named to the squad after the Vancouver Whitecaps forward made his Tunisia debut in a pair of friendly matches in March 2026. He is joined by midfielder Rani Khedira, the 32-year-old who switched from Germany to Tunisia earlier this year and has two Tunisia matches under his belt.

Despite being called up to the Tunisia roster in March, Germany-born forward Louey Ben Farhat is not on the squad, with media reports indicating the 19-year-old's father hopes he will leave the door open for a future Germany call. Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, who currently plays for Egyptian club Al Ahly, also missed the cut despite leading the team in goals during World Cup qualification.
