INGLEWOOD, CA — The U.S. men’s national team knows who awaits in the knockout round.
The start of the 2026 World Cup has been successful so far for the USMNT on home soil. They came out strong in their first two matches against Paraguay and Australia to not only advance out of the group stage, but to win Group D. While USA lost to Turkey to finish group play, they can shake it off and immediately start preparing for their next opponent in the round of 32, hoping to ride the momentum toward a deep run.

Who does USA face in next World Cup match?
The U.S. will play Bosnia and Herzegovina in the round of 32.
As the Group D winner, the U.S. was slated to play the third place team from Group B, E, F, I or J. Bosnia and Herzegovina finished third in Group B and guaranteed its ticket to the round of 32 to make the matchup with USMNT official.
