The win sets England up for a round of 32 matchup against DR Congo, which finished third in Group K and advanced to the knockout stage for the first time.
England reached the quarterfinals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after finishing in fourth place in 2018. The Three Lions' only World Cup win came back in 1966 played on home soil and the star-studded team is hoping for another deep run in North America this summer.
