Surprise reunion gets a boost with Tampa Bay Lightning goal

The ultimate assist at the Tampa Bay Lightning game didn’t happen on the ice — it happened in the stands.

After living in Australia for two years, Ava Ingersoll flew home for the holidays to pull off a surprise by secretly purchasing a seat at the NHL game right next to her unsuspecting best friend. She recruited the help of her best friend’s boyfriend to pull it off.

As the Lightning scored and the crowd erupted, Ingersoll sat down and started filming. Her friend looked at the phone, saw a familiar face in the reflection and jumped up in total disbelief for a tearful embrace.
