Cameron Brink injury update: Sparks forward to miss time after ankle sprain

June 18, 2026, 12:24 p.m. ET

Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink is out indefinitely after suffering a left ankle sprain Monday against the Golden State Valkyries.

"It's a good ankle sprain," Sparks coach Lynne Roberts said Wednesday night. "I don't anticipate her being back (soon)."

Brink, who has been a defensive force since being picked No. 2 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, is averaging 9.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 14 games this season. Brink tore the ACL in her left knee her rookie year and has played 48 games across three seasons in the league.

Second-year center Sania Feagin will get a chance to earn some minutes with the injury. Feagin missed six games earlier in the season because of a leg injury but is back and healthy.

"It’s hard when we’re not practicing much. We’ve had a stretch where it’s just been travel-game, travel-game, travel-game. So it’s hard for any of those guys," Roberts said. "But she’s just been staying ready, getting extra work in and here we go … we need her to step up."Kelsey Plum is also nursing an ankle sprain and sat out on Wednesday in a loss to the Minnesota Lynx. The Sparks, who are 7-8 and have lost five of their past eight games, play the New York Liberty Sunday (8 p.m. ET, ESPN).
