Tech Five: Apple's European investment
Apple announced a major investment in data centers in Europe. Let's look at the technology stocks to watch Monday:
Apple. The tech giant revealed it will invest $1.92 billion in data centers in Denmark and Ireland that will run on 100% renewable energy. The centers will power Apple's online services including iTunes and the App Store.
Hewlett-Packard. The personal computing giant will report first-quarter earnings after the markets close Tuesday. Analysts polled by FactSet estimate HP will report quarterly revenue of $27.38 billion with earnings of 91 cents per share.
Google. The company says it will launch a program for the Boys & Girls Club of America that will teach computer science to elementary and middle-school students. The program launched as a pilot in South Carolina two years ago.
Salesforce. The cloud computing giant reports fourth quarter earnings after the bell Wednesday. Salesforce is projected to report sales of $1.44 billion and earnings of 14 cents per share, according to analyst forecasts compiled by FactSet.
Samsung. The electronics giant is teasing its latest smartphone, the Galaxy S6, in a new YouTube video. Samsung is expected to unveil the phone during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on March 1.
