The Oracle of Omaha is no longer a smartphone holdout.

During an interview with CNBC on Monday, billionaire investor Warren Buffett revealed he finally let go of his Samsung flip phone in favor of Apple's iPhone.

"I am now using – not very often – the latest model," said Buffett in the interview, noting his flip phone is now "permanently gone."

Don't expect Buffett to start posting TikTok videos or playing Candy Crush on his new smartphone, though. He says for now he's using the device solely as a phone.

"I don't use all its facilities like most people," said Buffett.

According to CNBC, Buffett previously owned a Samsung SCH-U320 flip phone, available used for $29 on Amazon.

In a 2018 interview with CNBC, Buffett said Apple CEO Tim Cook had been urging him to upgrade to the iPhone for years.

"Tim Cook sent me a Christmas card again this year saying he’s going to sell me an iPhone this year," Buffett said two years ago.

Although Buffett was reluctant to snag an iPhone until recently, he has not been shy about scooping up shares of Apple. It's among the top stock holdings for his company Berkshire Hathaway.
