Worldle? It's not a typo. This game is like a Wordle puzzle but a geography version.

It's no surprise the surging popularity in Wordle would spawn several spinoffs.

The latest take on Wordle: a geography-inspired game called Worldle, where players must guess the correct country or region.

In Wordle, players get six chances to correctly guess a five-letter word. With each guess, the colors of the letters change to show how close you are to guessing the word correctly.

Green letters mean they're in the word and in the right place. Yellow letters are in the word but the wrong spot, while gray letters aren't found in the word.

For Worldle, players are presented with the silhouette of a country or region. Like Wordle, players have six chances to guess correctly.

After each incorrect guess, players will see a series of green and yellow boxes pop up along with a distance in kilometers indicating how close they are to the right location. The more green boxes you see, the closer you are.

And just like Wordle, the game lets you share your progress. Players have flocked to social media like Twitter to share their results under the hashtag #Worldle.

"Ashamed I guessed Italy when I know it's boot shaped," joked a Twitter user who goes by the handle @GoodTimeCC.

Wordle has emerged as one of the year's hit games. On Jan. 31, The New York Times confirmed it was acquiring Wordle for a price "in the low seven figures."
