Booking your next family vacation? Top 20 international travel destinations for US families

Looking to book your next family vacation? 

A 2022 survey published by New York University's Center of Hospitality and the Family Travel Association — a coalition of family travel suppliers, resources and experts with the mission to inspire families to travel — found the top 20 international and top four domestic travel destinations for families in the United States.

The survey collected 1,002 responses between June 22 and July 23, 2022, from respondents who wereover the age of 18 and who had children 18 years of age or younger.

Most popular states for family travel 

According to the survey, the most popular states for family travel are California, Florida, New York and Hawaii.

Top 20 most popular international travel destinations for US families

Europe is the most popular continent for family vacations, according to the study. Mexico and the Caribbean also remain popular.
