Is TSA Precheck worth the cost and background check?

If you're a frequent flyer and security lines and shoe removal are slowing you down, then TSA Precheck might be for you. Once approved, this airport screening program allows you to bypass the crowded security lines, you can keep your shoes on, and you can leave those tiny bottles of shampoo and shaving cream in your carry-on. In order to be approved, you must pay an application fee and go through a background check. Travel and money expert Matt Granite looks at this traveler program and whether or not the fee and time getting approved is really worth it.
