The "world's largest Hello Kitty Cafe" will host its grand opening this weekend in the Windy City, with exclusive treats, merchandise and photo opportunities, according to Sanrio.
Where is Hello Kitty Cafe opening in Chicago?
Sanrio is opening a 8,000-square-foot, two-level cafe in the heart of Chicago, at 360 N. Michigan Ave.
The space will offer indoor and outdoor patio seating along Wacker Drive, showcasing sweeping views of the river and city skyline.

When is Hello Kitty Cafe opening in Chicago?
The grand opening will kick off at 10 a.m. CT Friday, June 26, and last through Sunday, June 28.
What will fans be able to do at Hello Kitty Cafe?
Hello Kitty fans will be able to participate in a special Afternoon Tea service, purchase Chicago-exclusive collectible merchandise and make memories in the cafe's photobooths and immersive photo-ready spaces.
The reservation-only tea service will be hosted in the speakeasy-inspired Bow Room – available only in Chicago.

What's on the menu at the Chicago Hello Kitty Cafe?
Menu highlights at the Chicago cafe will include freshly made-to-order Bow Waffles, an Apple Pie Vanilla Latte, a Melon Soda Float and fresh lemonades, according to Sanrio.
Hello Kitty and Friends-themed pastries will also be available, "with assorted character sugar cookies and macaron box (sets) in flavors including Vanilla Bean, Green Tea, Strawberry, Salted Caramel and Blue Raspberry."

Hello Kitty Cafe Truck stopping in Chicago suburbs this summer
The iconic pink Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will also be making two stops in the Chicago suburbs this summer, with the first stop scheduled this weekend.
The truck will stop at Oakbrook Center Mall Saturday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT. Fans can visit the truck at its spot between Macy's and Seasons52, according to the brand.
The truck will return to Illinois Saturday, July 11, making an additional stop at Westfield Old Orchard Mall in Skokie, according to NBC Chicago. The truck will be located between Vuori and Nespresso from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT.
The trucks will accept credit cards only – no cash – and offer special merchandise and sweet treats.
