Kathleen WongA 13-year-old Disneyland guest was taken to the hospital after exiting Tiana's Bayou Adventure early on June 21, according to reports.
The teenager reportedly climbed out of the attraction's boat, forcing a cast member to immediately stop the ride, according to Disneyland officials. It's unconfirmed whether the rider fell out.
The log flume-style ride is based on "The Princess and the Frog" and ends with a 50-foot drop down a waterfall. Formerly Splash Mountain, Tiana's Bayou Adventure opened in November 2024 with an entirely new storyline inspired by the movie's main character, Princess Tiana.

As a precaution, the rider was taken to a local hospital for evaluation but was later released.
Some users on the Disneyland subreddit who allegedly witnessed the event said they saw the teenager "tumbling down the water slide" and that emergency medical personnel arrived at the ride.
The ride closed down for the rest of the evening of June 21 for inspection. It reopened on June 22 and is operating as normal.
