The joke is on whoever tried to extort comedian/producer Whitney Cummings with her own topless photo.

The "Can I Touch It?" comic revealed on Twitter Monday that someone was attempting to profit from a picture that Cummings accidentally shared on social media.

"1) In April I accidentally posted an insta story that showed nipple," Cummings, 36, explained. "Once I realized, I deleted. The people who took screen grabs are trying to get money from me, some said they have offers to sell them, some are asking for money to not post the photo."

In a NSFW follow-up tweet, she added: "2)They all must think I’m way more famous than I am, but they also must think I’m way more easily intimidated than I am. If anyone is gonna make money or likes off my nipple, it’s gonna be me.

"So here it all is, you foolish dorks," she continued, sharing the image.

Cummings then revealed an unexpected upside to the scandal with her more than 1.2 million followers.

"Real friends send you their embarrassing pix when you're embarrassing pix come out," she advised. "Thank you @chrisdelia for humiliating yourself to make me feel better."

Late Tuesday, Cummings added another tweet thanking "everyone who sent me embarrassing pictures of yourselves to make me feel better about my embarrassing photo."

But apparently, the comic has had enough sharing, thank you very much. She continued, "It means the world to me, but I wouldn't freak out if you stopped sending me photos of your hairy balls."

USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Cummings for further comment.
