Saman ShafiqJelly Roll and wife Bunnie XO have called it quits.
The 41-year-old Grammy-winning artist — whose real name is Jason DeFord — filed for divorce from his podcaster wife after a decade of marriage on May 18, according to court records reviewed by USA TODAY on Monday, June 15.
The former couple has not publicly commented on their split yet, and USA TODAY has reached out to Jelly Roll and Bunnie's reps for comment.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie, real name Alisa DeFord, married in 2016 and have been candid about the ups and downs of their marriage, including family planning and infidelity.
Here's a look back at their relationship timeline.

2015: First meeting
Jelly Roll first met Bunnie, now 46, in 2015, but she was in a relationship at the time.
The country singer, during a guest appearance on the "King and the Sting and the Wing Clips" podcast, revealed he first met his future wife while attending one of his concerts at Las Vegas’ Country Saloon in 2015.
Though she was in a relationship at the time, the two kept in touch via mutual friends, and when Bunnie became single not long after, their friendship soon turned into romance.

2016: Marriage
Jelly Roll and Bunnie tied the knot in a spontaneous courthouse wedding on the evening after he proposed onstage.
Earlier this year, in January, Jelly Roll celebrated a decade of their marriage with a post on Instagram featuring photos of the couple with the caption: "2016 was a dream. And we’re still living it. 10 years with my beautiful wife, the one and only Mrs. Bunnie Xo."
2018: Brief split
Bunnie revealed on TikTok in 2024 that the pair briefly split in 2018.
"Who knew that us breaking up in 2018, me moving back to Vegas and you coming to get me back would have put us on this wild journey called life," she shared in a TikTok video.
2023: Vow renewal
Jelly Roll and Bunnie renewed their vows in September 2023 at the same chapel where they had wed in Las Vegas.
The singer, in a post on Instagram, shared a video of their vow renewal with the caption: "7 years ago my wife and stumbled into a little chapel in Las Vegas. 7 years later we walked into that same little chapel and renewed our vows."
Jelly Roll said his only regret on the night they wed was that he "never got to see her in a dress," but with the vow renewal, "we made that right."
"I may have never gave my wife the wedding she truly deserved but I plan on giving her the life she deserves for the rest of it," he wrote. "I love you more anything mama bear. You are my anchor."

October 2025: Jelly Roll admits to cheating
In October 2025, Jelly Roll admitted to cheating on his spouse, referring to the incident as "one of the worst moments of my adulthood."
"I wish our story would’ve went in the way that it never had an affair, and I’m in a way glad it happened, but man, I’m proud of who we are today," Jelly Roll had said on an episode of the "Human School" podcast. "I truly am."
While he did not divulge specifics about the affair or its timeline, Jelly Roll said his actions were influenced by the company he kept.
February 2026: Jelly Roll dedicates Grammy win to wife
After winning the Grammy for best contemporary country album, Jelly Roll got emotional on the podium, dedicating the award to his wife, who wept and applauded in the audience.
"I would never have changed my life without you. I'd have ended up dead or in jail," he said. "I would have killed myself if it wasn't for you and Jesus."
Were Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO in an open relationship?
In June 2025, Bunnie cleared up rumors that she and Jelly Roll were in an open marriage.
Years ago, the couple embraced a dynamic similar to an open relationship, but it was mostly focused on not controlling each other, she said. That arrangement had since ended.
Bunnie said she can't understand why fans weren't grasping that the two were in an exclusive relationship.
"We have completely stopped all of those shenanigans because you can’t trust anybody in the world," she said. "Back in the day, that was how we looked at our relationship."
