The 61st Academy of Country Music Awards celebrated the year's biggest stars in the genre with a first-time performance by Kacey Musgraves and a near-sweep by Ella Langley.
The Shania Twain-hosted ACM Awards — the longest-running country music awards show — took over Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17, drawing some of country music’s biggest stars. As the red carpet got underway, arrivals included new bride Lainey Wilson with husband Duck Hodges, four-time nominee Shaboozey, Kelsea Ballerini, Zach Top, and Lee Ann Womack, all stepping out in style at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The year's top nominees, Megan Moroney (nine nominations), Miranda Lambert (eight), Langley (seven), Wilson (seven), and Chris Stapleton (six), vied for the night's top honors. Moroney, who was on maid of honor duty for her best friend, had to bow out of the event and was shut out in all the categories in which she was nominated.
Instead, Langley reigned supreme, collecting fives trophies, including for female artist of the year, song of the year and single of the year.
