'Bridgerton' returns with Benedict's love story. How to watch Season 4
Saman ShafiqGather around fair ton. Mayfair's social season returns with Season 4 of "Bridgerton," and all eyes are on who will be this year's most eligible. Rumor has it that Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the marriage-evading and free-spirited second child of the Bridgerton family, has finally found his match.
Based on Julia Quinn's novels, every season of "Bridgerton" spotlights one of the eight Bridgerton siblings, and this time the attention is on Benedict, who hates the idea of having to settle down "despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married." But that is until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball, Season 4's logline reads.
“The storyline is a bit of a twist on Cinderella," Thompson teased to Netflix's Tudum. "You remember being told those stories as a child — the magic and the romance of them. It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton … It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable.”
Thompson previously told USA TODAY that "Benedict for the last three seasons has been a very free character, but also slightly lost sometimes."
"There's a sense of not being quite sure where he sits," Thompson said. "You have to accept that there comes a point where you have to make a choice and commit."

Showrunner Jess Brownell, meanwhile, said the show will follow a "very different trajectory,” according to Tudum, a Netflix platform.
“Benedict lives in a fantasy world. Sophie lives in a hard reality," Brownell said. "You have two characters who are at opposite ends of a pole, and rather than either of them needing to get all the way to the other side, they both need to travel to the middle."
Here's what to know about Season 4 of "Bridgerton" including the release date and cast information.
