Warning: This article contains spoilers from Episodes 1-7 of "Dutton Ranch," now streaming on Paramount+.

If Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) thought joining hands with former rival and fellow rancher Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) and her 10 Petal Ranch would solve their problems, they might want to think again because there's a new enemy on the horizon.

Bad blood is brewing between Rip and "Dutton Ranch's" new villain Rob-Will Jackson (Jai Courtney), the substance-abusing, wayward scion of the Dutton-rival Jackson family. Rip planted his fist into Rob-Will's face during their first meeting in Episode 1, and things have only gotten more tense through.

The new development is in line with what "Dutton Ranch" director and executive producer Christina Alexandra Voros had previously teased to USA TODAY - trouble follows the couple wherever they go.

However, Courtney, 40, is hopeful that the duo might mend fences one day.

"Things are coming to a head with Rob-Will and Rip," Courtney tells USA TODAY. "But I feel there's potential for them to join forces at a certain point. This is not a spoiler; it's just what I feel. They're two alpha guys, Rip and Rob. There's a potential for arm wrestles and camaraderie at some point."

The "Yellowstone" spinoff has set new records for Paramount+, with the premiere episodes reaching 12.9 million views globally over seven days, marking the biggest original series launch for the streamer. The former champion was in the family, Taylor Sheridan's "The Madison," which reached more than 8 million views during its first 10 days on the platform after premiering on March 14.

The Paramount Network "Dutton Ranch" launch scored on linear TV as well, delivering 2.9 million total viewers on premiere night across its two-episode debut (garnering 1.9 million viewers on Episode 1). It's the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023.
