Satellite images show impact from US and Israel attacks on Iran
American military forces have hit more than 1,000 targets in two days of attacks on Iran, including missile sites and command and control centers, the U.S. Central Command said March 1.
Iranian sites that were hit included government and military buildings in Tehran, and aerospace and defense hubs outside the capital.
Naval bases, Iranian ships, air bases, air-defense sites were also hit.
The Iranian attacks could last four weeks, President Donald Trump said in an interview with the UK’s Daily Mail.
“We figured it will be four weeks or so,” Trump said. “It's always been about a four-week process so – as strong as it is, it's a big country, it'll take four weeks, or less.”
Three unidentified U.S. service members were reported killed and five others seriously injured in the strikes, defense officials confirmed. Their identities were withheld pending notification of their families.
The U.S. and Israeli strikes have "wiped out" at least 48 Iranian leaders, Trump told Fox News’ Senior White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich on March 1. Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was among those killed.
More than 200 people have been killed in Iran, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society.

Meanwhile, both the U.S. and Israel continued attacks on Iran, which responded with airstrikes against Israel.
Trump said he was optimistic about the operation's progress. He wrote on Truth Social the U.S. sank nine Iranian ships and will be going after the rest of its fleet. He said the U.S. military also destroyed Iran's naval headquarters.
"Other than that, their Navy is doing very well!" Trump wrote.
Elsewhere in Iran, scores of children were reported killed in an airstrike on a school in southern Iran. Casualties have been reported across the region due to Iranian reprisal attacks.

Video shows Iranians topple Khomeini monument
An eyewitness video is circulating showing crowds taking down a monument to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founding father of the Islamic Republic.
The video, verified by NBC News, Sky News, and Reuters, captures dozens of people toppling the monument dedicated to the Islamic Republic founder in the southern Iranian town of Galleh Dar on Feb. 28. The video also shows flames rising from a roundabout with onlookers recording the moment on their phones and cheering.
The incident occurred hours after Khomeini's successor, Ali Khamenei, was killed in a joint strike effort by the United States and Israel against Iran.
