Taco Bell menu gets new Cantina Chicken Mexican Pizza
Taco Bell's new twist on its Mexican Pizza, the limited-time Cantina Chicken Mexican Pizza, is served with both a new Jalapeño Citrus Salsa and Avocado Verde Salsa.
Taco Bell is adding a new Mexican pizza to its menu.
The Cantina Chicken Mexican Pizza ($6.49) becomes available on Thursday, May 21, and will be served with a new Jalapeño Citrus Salsa. The dish is made with slow-roasted chicken and black beans layered between crispy tortillas, topped with green chile sauce, a three-cheese blend, cabbage and pico de Gallo. Also included: Avocado Verde Salsa.
Members of the Taco Bell Rewards loyalty program can order a Cantina Chicken Mexican Pizza sooner, starting Tuesday, May 19, in the Taco Bell app.

The dish was among many new menu items − including Diablo Dusted Crispy Chicken Nuggets − revealed in March during the fast-food chain's Live Más Live event.
“The Mexican Pizza is iconic for a reason. It’s that perfect layering of crispy, saucy, cheesy nostalgia that fans have loved for years, so we didn’t want to reinvent it, we wanted to build on it,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s global chief food innovation officer, in a statement. “And because we know our fans are serious about sauce, we made sure the Jalapeño Citrus Salsa brings the extra spark that complements the Cantina menu.”
Taco Bell's Jalapeño Citrus Salsa makes its debut along with the new Mexican pizza. Made with red jalapeños, guajillo chiles and citrus fruit. A packet of the new, limited-time sweet and spicy salsa will be served, along with one of Avocado Verde Salsa, are served with the entire Cantina Chicken lineup for a limited time, according to Taco Bell. Additional packets are available for 20 cents each.
