Amaris EncinasAn assortment of new and "refreshing" drink options has made landfall at McDonald's locations.
McDonald's added six specialty drinks, including caffeinated refreshers and dirty sodas, to its lineup on Wednesday, May 6.
From Sprite Berry Blast to Blackberry Passion Fruit Refresher, the selection features three lemonade-based refreshers and three so-called dirty sodas.
Guillaume Huin, senior marketing director for McDonald's USA, revealed in an April 28 X post that restaurants were already "starting to train and prepare" ahead of the "big day."

"McDonald's drinks have always been special, but this is taking us into a new era. Hope you will like it and please as always let me know what you think," Huin said.
“Our fans have an obsession with beverages – to them, drinks are more than just drinks. And soon, our beverages won’t just be a reason you come to McDonald’s, they’ll be the reason," Alyssa Buetikofer, McDonald's USA's chief marketing and customer experience officer, said in a statement.
