Dairy Queen reveals new Blizzard flavors, patriotic slush float
Amaris EncinasDairy Queen is adding more treats to its menu with new Blizzard flavors and a patriotic slush.
The three new Blizzard offerings are being released as "historic celebrations [are] taking center stage across America this summer," including the country's 250th anniversary and the excitement of international soccer on home turf, according to a June 23 news release.
The full "Blizzard Treat Cup" lineup includes:
- Strawberry Mango-flavored Mochi Blizzard: Made with mango-flavored mochi pieces and strawberry topping, blended with soft serve
- Biscoff Cookie Blizzard: Made with crunchy and caramelized Biscoff Cookies, blended with soft serve
- Mexican-style Hot Chocolate made with Abuelita Blizzard: Made with Abuelita Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix, choco chunks, fudge covered marshmallows and cocoa fudge blended with soft serve
Dairy Queen also adds patriotic slush
DQ is also launching a new, themed frozen dessert in honor of the country's 250th birthday celebration.
Dubbed the "Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float," the patriotic float includes layers of Cherry Misty Slush, world famous soft serve and blue raspberry Misty Slush with festive star sprinkles.
The $2.50 float will be available for purchase at participating locations starting Monday, June 29, and comes in a size small, according to Dairy Queen.
Dairy Queen offering deals tied to new treats
From "sweet deals" to DQ Go for the Globe Sweepstakes, Dairy Queen is offering customers a chance to earn bonus DQ points and sweepstakes entries.
DQ Rewards Members can participate in the DQ Go for the Globe Sweepstakes through the DQ App for the chance to win a "dream vacation" from June 29 through July 6.
DQ Rewards members can also earn up to three sweepstakes entries for each of the Blizzard Cup Lineup flavors that are purchased, and up to 15 bonus entries when fans purchase all three Blizzards.
Then, from June 29 through July 5, customers can buy a small Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float for $2.50 to earn 250 bonus DQ points and three sweepstakes entries.
