The Powerball jackpot rose to $69 million with a cash value of $31.2 million ahead of the drawing on Wednesday, May 13, offering players another shot at a multimillion-dollar prize.

Since the lottery launched in 1992, the Powerball jackpot has been won nearly 200 times, according to lottery officials. The most recent win came May 2, when two tickets sold in Texas and Florida split a $20 million jackpot, just days after a $143 million prize was won by players in Kansas and Indiana.

What are the winning numbers for the May 13 Powerball?

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, May 13, Powerball drawing are 22, 31, 52, 56, 67 and the Powerball is 15. The "Power Play" multiplier is 2x.

Do you have to be a U.S. citizen or resident to play Powerball?

No, you do not have to be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident to play Powerball.

Anyone visiting one of the 45 participating states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, can buy a Powerball ticket from an authorized retailer, regardless of nationality, as long as they meet the legal age requirement which is usually 18 years old at the point of purchase.

How to play Powerball

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets can be purchased at authorized retailers such as convenience stores, gas stations and grocery stores. In some states, tickets are also available online, depending on local regulations.

To play, select five white ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. To win the jackpot, all six numbers must match.

For an extra $1, players can add Power Play, which multiplies non‑jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X, depending on the drawing.

Players can also choose a Quick Pick, allowing the computer to randomly select numbers.

Powerball drawings are held Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights. If no ticket matches all six numbers, the jackpot continues to grow.
