The biggest America 250 events you can still go to this year
The nation is gearing up to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
Events across the country are scheduled to observe America's legacy in the coming weeks. From block parties to battle reenactments, the roster of events spotlights the nation's industries, history and communities.
Some of these celebrations are already in full swing, such as the "American Presidents" exhibition at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and The Great American Road Trip initiative led by the U.S. Department of Transportation. But the major festivities are set to occur around July 4, 2026, which marks the 250th anniversary of American's adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
In additional to national events lead by President Donald Trump's Task Force 250, states have their own individual events to celebrate local history, culture and achievements.
USA TODAY rounded up a selection of America250 events on the books in the coming months. For activations and engagements near you, either in-person or virtual, see the full calendar available at america250.org/calendar/.
