NASCAR All-Star Race format
- A full field of 36 drivers will initially contest the first two segments of the All-Star Race before a final segment that will consist of only 26 participants. Nineteen drivers are already locked into the final segment as either a past All-Star Race winner, former Cup Series champion competing full-time this year, or full-time driver who has won a Cup Series points race in either the 2025 or 2026 season.
- The action starts Saturday, May 16 with two-run qualifying and the pit crew challenge. Each driver will take the green flag and run one full lap around the 1-mile concrete oval. The second lap will feature the Mechanix Wear Pit Crew Challenge, where each pit crew will perform a single four-tire stop with no gas. Drivers will then race back to the start/finish line, with qualifying encompassing the total time from green flag to checkered flag.
- The All-Star Race on Sunday, May 17 will consist of three segments, totaling a combined 350 laps. The first two stints will be 75-lap shootouts, and the final segment will be 200 laps. The starting order for the first 75-lap segment is determined by qualifying results. The lineup for the second 75-lap shootout will be an inversion of Segment 1’s top 26, with the remaining drivers lined up by finish.
- The final 200-lap segment will consist of 26 participants: the 19 drivers already locked in, a fan vote winner and remaining drivers based on the lowest combined finishing positions among Segments 1 and 2, who are not already included. When combining the results of Segments 1 and 2, if there is a tie, the first tiebreaker is the best finish in either segment and the second tiebreaker is the best finish in Segment 1.
