Cavaliers vs Raptors live updates: Cleveland leaves no doubt with Game 1 rout

Updated April 18, 2026, 7:52 p.m. ET

The 2026 NBA postseason is officially underway, and the Cleveland Cavaliers opened it with an emphatic statement.

The Cavs ran away from the Toronto Raptors in Game 1 of their first-round series, winning 126-113 on Saturday, April 18. Cleveland went into halftime clinging to a seven-point advantage, but it started the third quarter on a 21-6 run to open up a 22-point lead it wouldn't relinquish.

Donovan Mitchell had 11 points in that back-breaking third, and led all scorers with 32 points. It's the ninth consecutive 30-plus-point Game 1 for Mitchell and that's the longest such streak in NBA playoff history.

Max Strus added 24 points, including eight in the third, and James Harden contributed 22 points and a game-high 10 assists in his first playoff game with the Cavs.

Game 2 will be Monday night in Cleveland at 7 p.m. ET.
