San Francisco 49ers schedule: Games, dates, TV channels, predictions for 2026 season

Kyle Shanahan is entering his 10th season with the San Francisco 49ers but is still looking to earn his elusive, first Super Bowl win.

Last season, the 49ers made it to the playoffs for the fifth time in the last seven seasons. Brock Purdy enjoyed a torrid stretch near the end of the season that left many believing San Francisco could make another Super Bowl run.

Instead, the 49ers finished third in the loaded NFC West, which produced three playoff teams. San Francisco still managed to earn a road playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles as the NFC's No. 6 seed but was ultimately dispatched by the Seattle Seahawks in a 41-6 divisional-round blowout.

The silver lining for the 49ers? Their third-place finish in the NFC West has gifted them a third-place schedule in 2026. That makes their schedule the NFL's eighth-easiest, per Sharp Football Analysis, and far and away the easiest schedule in their division.

49ers record prediction 2026

Record prediction: 12-5

The 49ers seem poised to contend for the NFC West title again. Their path to winning this season will be much easier than the one the Seahawks and Rams face, as San Francisco has a lot of favorable matchups on its schedule.

Notably, the 49ers get two dates with the Cardinals, home games against the Dolphins and Raiders and road games against the Falcons and Giants. All look winnable, though the lattermost game on the much maligned MetLife Stadium turf could be cause for concern among 49ers fans.

Nonetheless, those easier matchups will provide San Francisco several reprieves against the remainder of the NFC West and their strongest NFC East and AFC West opponents.

The schedule isn't the only reason for optimism in San Francisco. The team is also getting Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams back from season-ending injuries, which should boost a pass rush that struggled immensely last season. The addition of veteran wide receiver Mike Evans should also provide a spark to the 49ers' already strong offense and make them legitimate Super Bowl 61 contenders.
