Indianapolis Colts schedule: Games, dates, TV channels, predictions for 2026 season

Sustained success is the key phrase for the 2026 Indianapolis Colts.

At one point during the 2025 season, the Colts were in the driver's seat in the AFC in possession of the No. 1 seed in the conference. Indianapolis finished the season with seven straight losses and missed the playoffs entirely.

One reason for the Colts' end-of-season issues was quarterback Daniel Jones' Achilles injury, which knocked him out of the final four weeks of the season. Even prior to his injury, the former Giants quarterback's performance showed a slight decline after looking like an MVP candidate near the start of the season.

After throwing just three interceptions through eight weeks, Jones threw three more and fumbled three times (two lost) against the Steelers in Week 9. He fumbled three more times the following week.

Indianapolis' hopes for 2026 largely rest on Jones staying healthy and playing like he did early on in 2025. After extending him and spending big to keep receiver Alec Pierce, the Colts can't afford for Jones to regress back to his level of play from his New York days.

Indianapolis lost eight of their last nine games and seven in a row to end the season. Quarterback Daniel Jones also tore his Achilles in Week 14, and the Colts tried unsuccessfully to save the season by signing the previously retired Philip Rivers to start behind center.

In the offseason, the Colts re-signed Jones and receiver Alec Pierce while parting ways with wideout Michael Pittman Jr. The biggest question that now faces the team is whether Jones will continue playing well in head coach Shane Steichen's offense in 2026 after experiencing something of a career resurgence in 2025.
