Miami Dolphins schedule: Games, dates, TV channels, predictions for 2026 season
No one can accuse Jon-Eric Sullivan, the Miami Dolphins' new general manager, of being afraid to try something new.
Sullivan's first actions as Miami's new top executive consisted of completely gutting the old foundation that the Dolphins had been built around in previous years. Among the most drastic changes were releasing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Tyreek Hill before trading away Jaylen Waddle, another wideout, to the Denver Broncos.
Joining Sullivan in the new era of the Dolphins is rookie head coach Jeff Hafley, the former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator who followed the GM from Wisconsin, and quarterback Malik Willis, another former Packer.
In addition, Miami signed more than a dozen free agents to begin the offseason and drafted 13 more players in the 2026 NFL Draft to start to build up a new core of young Dolphins players.
Will all of Sullivan's offseason moves set Miami up for an improvement on its 7-10 record from last season? Or should Dolphins fans prepare for a difficult first season of another rebuild?

Dolphins record prediction 2026
Record prediction: 4-13
The Dolphins missed the playoffs for a second straight season and went 7-10 in 2025. Their solution was to blow everything up. General manager Chris Grier left the team after Week 9, and the team fired head coach Mike McDaniel after the season. New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan promptly finished what owner Stephen Ross had started and continued to strip down the team by blowing up the roster.
With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, edge rusher Bradley Chubb and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick all released or traded away, the 2026 Dolphins will look very different from the 2025 squad. Even with a promising new quarterback in Malik Willis and 13 new players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, Miami seems pretty clearly set up to take a significant step backwards record-wise this year.
