As the 2026 season kicks off at Sandcastle Water Park just outside Pittsburgh, the park is offering discounts on all tickets for a limited time.

Sandcastle, a sister park of Kennywood and located in West Homestead, opened for the season on Saturday, May 23 and will soon have its doors open every day for the summer. To mark the occasion, the water park is cutting the costs of tickets now through Sunday, May 31.

There are multiple options for tickets available online at Sandcastle's website, with an opening day discount on all tickets available through Sunday, May 31.

• Dated Admission (park admission on a select date): starting at $34.99 on sale, normally $59.99
• Any Day Admission (visit on any operating day through Sept. 7): $49.99 on sale, normally $59.99
• 2026 Silver Season Pass (Bring a Friend Day discounts, one free 2026 guest ticket, 10% off most food and retail and more): $59.99 on sale, normally $119.99
• 2026 Gold Season Pass (free standard parking, souvenir cup with free refills, 15% off most food and retail, Bring a Friend Day Discounts, two free 2026 guest tickets and more): $99.99 on sale, normally $129.99
• 2026 Platinum Season Pass (unlimited admission to Sandcastle, Kennywood, Idlewild & SoakZone and eight other parks; Bring a Friend discounts; free standard parking; 20% off most food and retail; souvenir cup and free refills; three free guest tickets and more: $219.99 on sale, normally $249.99

Discounts are available online for kids under 46 inches tall, seniors and active and retired military members.

When is Sandcastle open? 2026 season calendar

While Sandcastle is now open on weekends, the park is scheduled to be open every day by mid-June. Here's an overview of the park's calendar this season, according to its website.

• Weekends at the start of the season: Saturday, May 23–Monday, May 25; Saturday, May 30–Sunday, May 31; Saturday, June 6–Sunday, June 7.
• Park open every day: Thursday, June 11–Monday, Aug. 17 (hours vary; check park website for specifics).
• Weekends at the end of the season: Saturday, Aug. 22–Sunday, Aug. 23; Saturday, Aug. 29–Sunday, Aug. 30; Saturday, Sept. 5–Monday, Sept. 7.

Summer events at Sandcastle Water Park

Throughout the summer, Sandcastle will have special promotions, theme days and more at the park. Here's a look at what's coming up.

• Free educator admission: Educators will receive free admission every operating day now through Tuesday, June 30 with a valid work ID.
• Kennywood Character Takeovers: Every Friday from June 12 through July 3, a Kennywood character will host a foam party at Sandcastle.
• Father's Day Flop: On Saturday, June 20, adults can show off their belly flops in the wave pool with the chance to win prizes.
• Celebrate America 250: The waterpark will celebrate the Fourth of July from Wednesday, July 1 through Sunday, July 5, with specifics of the festivities coming soon.
• Foam Party Wednesdays: Foam parties take place near the Boardwalk sign every Wednesday from July 8 through Aug. 12 at 2 p.m.
• Christmas in July: From Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26, Sandcastle will celebrate Christmas in July, with details about the festivities coming soon.
• DJ Decades Weekends: Every Saturday and Sunday from Aug. 1 through Aug. 16, DJs will play top hits from the '80s, '90s, and '00s at the Sandbar and Mushroom Pool.
