She went missing from a cruise. Police found her a week later.

A Holland America Line guest was found after going missing during a Caribbean cruise.

Ann Evans, 55, was located after she did not return to the cruise line’s Rotterdam ship during a stop in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten, according to the Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM). "Following coordination between KPSM and other partners, contact has been made with the individual in question," authorities said in a Nov. 28 Facebook post.

Evans, who is a U.S. citizen, was reported missing on Nov. 20. Law enforcement said no other details about the passenger or her circumstances would be released in "accordance with the laws governing privacy and protection of personal data."

Police previously said in a Nov. 27 post that they had "reason to believe that a female matching Ms. Evans’ description checked into a hotel on the French side of the island using her passport."

"She has also reportedly been seen in the surrounding area of that establishment," the update continued.

Evans disembarked the cruise ship for an organized tour and got off the bus in Marigot, Saint Martin, but did not come back, according to authorities. The stop was part of a 12-day Caribbean voyage that departed from Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 16.

"We appreciate the efforts of local authorities in Sint Maarten and we’re glad to see the situation has been resolved," Holland America told USA TODAY in an emailed statement.
