This is Disney World’s best park for the whole family
Eve ChenWalt Disney World’s most family friendly park isn’t what you may expect.
It’s not Magic Kingdom, the most visited theme park in the world. It’s not Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, though they’ve been rolling out new experiences.
All three of those parks are family-friendly, but the best theme park for all ages is EPCOT.
To illustrate how, let’s consider the fictional family from Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress with young Jimmy, big sister Patty, mom Sarah, dad John, Uncle Orville, Grandma and Grandpa.
EPCOT for kids
There aren’t any toddlers or preschoolers in this fictional family, but if there were, they'd have plenty of places to play and stretch little their little legs. Those include but are not limited to the indoor play structure at the exit to Mission: SPACE, the playground near Creations Shop and the splashy areas of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.

Elementary school-age kids like Jimmy may enjoy the aquarium at the Seas with Nemo & Friends, games at the exit to Spaceship Earth, character greetings at CommuniCore Hall, different soda flavors from around the world in Club Cool and rides like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure or Frozen Ever After.

Teens like Patty may enjoy thrills like Test Track and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or trying snacks and taking selfies around World Showcase, particularly during festivals.

EPCOT for adults
Adults without kiddos in tow may enjoy the unofficial challenge of drinking around the world, but Sarah and John might prefer a leisurely drink at the adults-only lounge GEO-82. They can also relive their own childhoods on iconic rides like Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth.

Uncle Orville would probably complain about the heat or crowds. He may prefer longer, indoor shows like the American Adventure, Canada Far and Wide in Circle Vision 360, Impressions de France and Reflections of China or a long meal with live entertainment at the Biergarten.

Grandma and Grandpa may not be big on rides, but they may appreciate the scenery in Soarin Over America, which was created for America’s 250th anniversary, or enjoy a free concert, like Starship or the Beach Boys, who will be performing as part of the Eat to the Beat series during EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Most importantly, most experiences can be enjoyed together.
