Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged, and the internet is losing it over Swift's hunk of a ring.

Swift revealed the engagement in a joint Instagram post with Kelce on Tuesday, Aug. 26. In the third photo of the Instagram carousel, Swift shared a close-up photo of her engagement ring, which has been identified as an Old Mine Brilliant cut diamond from jewelry designer Kindred Lubeck.

The ring's price has yet to be identified, but rings on Lubeck's online shop, Artifex Fine Jewelry, start at $4,300 and skyrocket up to $38,300.

Here's what we know about Kindred Lubeck.

Who is Kindred Lubeck?

Kindred Lubeck is the daughter of master goldsmith Jay Lubeck, who is based in Neptune Beach, Florida.

Lubeck joined her father's business in October 2019, she told Voyage Jacksonville Magazine in a 2024 interview. When the COVID-19 pandemic began in early 2020, the Lubeck showroom temporarily closed, but during this time, Lubeck and her father grew closer as he taught her the craft of goldsmithing.

Initially, Lubeck worked on silver pieces, but eventually she transitioned to gold like her father. She began to share her pieces on social media and quickly, she began receiving requests for engagement rings, she told Voyage Jacksonville.

By June 2024, Lubeck moved to New York City to open her own jewelry shop, Artifex Fine Jewelry.

Lubeck specializes in hand engraving, which she described to Voyage Jacksonville as ring tattooing. For this process, Lubeck uses small, sharp instruments to cut away bits of metal on the sides of rings to create designs.

In a 2024 TikTok video, Lubeck said her "jewelry idol" is Kent Raible, a silver and goldsmith who has been crafting jewelry since 1971. Raible is known for his intricate detailing and incorporation of gold granulation throughout his pieces.

Lubeck boasts more than 260,000 followers on TikTok, where she posts videos of her engraving jewelry, some of which have garnered over 5, 9 and 10 million views.

How much do Kindred Lubeck's rings cost?

Lubeck's rings, as posted on the Artifex Fine Jewelry and Jewels by Lubeck websites, vary in prices largely.

Rings on the Artifex website range between a 14-carat yellow gold ring with a 3-millimeter diamond at $4,300 and a 18-carat yellow gold ring with a 5.33-carat Montana sapphire at $33,650. The former is already sold out.
