Starbucks is ready for the summer! See what's on the seasonal menu
The calendar only recently flipped from April to May, however fast food and coffee chains, including Starbucks, are already looking ahead to summer.
The company last month gave fans a sneak peek of the menu and has now released full details on what will be included on it. The menu, available at Starbucks locations nationwide beginning May 12 and for a limited time, features a new Tropical Butterfly Refresher, a new Horchata Frappuccino blended beverage and the return of the Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso.
According to Starbucks, the Tropical Butterfly Refresher features guava and passionfruit flavors and bursts of mango-pineapple flavored pearls. The drink is finished off with a splash of butterfly pea flower infusion, creating the colors of the drink.
Starbucks said the drink can be customized with lemonade or coconut milk, as well as with the customers' preferred level of caffeine and B vitamins.

The Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso features Starbucks Blonde Espresso and horchata syrup, blending cinnamon, vanilla and nutty notes of toasted rice, shaken with ice and finished with oat milk.
Also featured on the summer menu will be a new Unicorn Cake Pop, featuring vanilla cake mixed with confetti sprinkles, dripped in white chocolate icing and decorated with a unicorn face.
Starbucks unveils summer merch collections, including Miffy collab
Starbucks also teased two new merchandise collections that will be released this summer, including one that is a collaboration with Miffy, the popular rabbit cartoon character. See the descriptions:
- Road Trip Collection: This seasonal collection is inspired by summer adventures and road trips, per Starbucks. It features items such as stainless steel tumblers, cold cups and mugs, along with accessories like sticker packs, keychains, totes and a picnic blanket. The collection is available at participating locations in the U.S. beginning May 12 for a limited time.
- Miffy + Starbucks: A drinkware and lifestyle collection that "captures Miffy's playful curiosity and gentle charm," per Starbucks. This collaboration will be available in Starbucks coffeehouses across the U.S. and Canada for a limited time beginning May 19.
Starbucks launches new scheduled ordering feature
Beginning Monday, May 11, Starbucks customers can choose a pickup time up to an hour ahead when placing an order in the Starbucks app.
The company says availability may vary by location as the new feature rolls out.
