More male enhancement chocolates recalled for 'dangerous' concerns

More male enhancement chocolate products have been recalled because they contain ingredients that may interact with prescription drugs and lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.

Ferndale, Michigan-based adult toy site Nalpac has recalled DTF Sexual Chocolate products, which it did not produce but had purchased and resold, because the products contain sildenafil and tadalafil, the active ingredients found in the drugs Viagra and Cialis, which are used to treat erectile dysfunction.

"These undeclared ingredients could interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels for those individuals who use prescription drugs that contain nitrates," according to the voluntary nationwide recall posted on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website.

Nalpac has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall, according to the FDA.

Which male enhancement chocolate products are being recalled?

The recalled DTF Chocolate product is packaged in cases containing 20 retail units and can be identified by UPC 757817783069 on the product label, Nalpac said. Consumers could purchase the product in adult retail stores and on the websites shopsexology.com and royalsins.com.

What should you do if you have the recalled male enhancement chocolate products?

Nalpac said it has notified customers by email and is arranging for the return of all recalled products, according to the FDA. Consumers should stop using – and retailers should stop selling – the recalled products and discard them or return them to the place of purchase.

Other male enhancement chocolate products recalled

This recall comes after an earlier recall of other male enhancement chocolate products for containing sildenafil and tadalafil on March 26 (Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate Male Enhancement Sachet and ilum Sex Chocolate Male Sexual Enhancement Booster). A week prior to that, several male-enhancement supplements were also recalled for containing the unlabeled ingredients.
